אז בחיים החדשים האלה שלי, פה בברלין (או כמו שאני קוראת להם ביני לבין עצמי “החיים השניים שלי”), ההזדמנות שנתתי לעצמי להתחיל מחדש מדהימה אותי לעיתים קרובות, כי באמת, הכל אפשרי. הנה, אני.
אז בחיים החדשים האלה שלי, פה בברלין, אני עדיין מגלה דברים בכל שבוע שחולף, ועדיין מתרגשת כמו ילדה מדברים של פעם ראשונה, כמו זה שבתמונה: שלג באמצע האביב. ולא סתם, אלא שלג של אבקנים, מעצי ה-kastanienbaum, הלא הם עצי הערמונים (לא לאכילה, כמה חבל), שהפרחים המפוארים שלהם מתפזרים לכל עבר בימי האביב החמים, כך שאדם מוצא את עצמו שוכב על הדשא בפארק ליד הבית, משתזף בשמש, כשסביבו מיליוני אבקנים שעפים לכל עבר, כמו שלג של פיות, כמו קסם של אושר.
