קוראת לכל המלאכים, כי קרב יום. אומרת תודה על הכל, כשאני יושבת על גג העולם, בבית של דודה פנינה – עד שאני מתאהבת בחמש בובות, וקוראת להרקולס, כי הבית נמצא במקום בו יש שנאה… שרה בוגלו עם סוני ועם רוכב החצות, “צא מחיי!” (עושה קולות של לוחמת), ושוב לבד או שאולי פשוט סתיו?
צריכה אוכל לנשמתי. מחפשת אצל זרים ברכבת, בדרך לעמקים, בנסיעה מקינשאסה לירח, כשאני שותה מיץ חיפושיות ומפנטזת מתוך ביבר הזכוכית שלי על מי שייקח אותי למקום אחר..
לעוף! בלי החולמים על צבא, בלי מפסידנים. כי מה שאמור להיות זה אתה, אני, בנהר.

שעה ראשונה ארוכה ושקטה יותר מהרגיל. אולי בגלל החום והלחות הכבדים, שדורשים התנהלות איטית יותר של תנועה, של מחשבה, של רגש. אולי הלב והנפש זקוקים לקצת יותר עדינות עם כל מה שקורה מסביב, ועוד בתוך החום הגדול הזה. קצת רכות, ועדינות. הקצב יגיע, אבל בזמנו הטוב.
